NourNet launches managed SD-WAN service powered by Cisco.
NourNet has expanded its managed service offering by introducing multi-cloud connectivity using Cisco SD-WAN. This managed service offering will provide NourNet customers with best connectivity performance and integrated threat protection across their branch offices and hybrid cloud infrastructure, resulting in a better overall user experience.
As enterprises continue to move their applications to the cloud and enable work from anywhere environments, networking and security solutions such as SD-WAN and SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) have become essential to enable transformation. With more software as a service (SaaS-based) applications in the cloud, and the dramatic increase in remote workers, enterprises are considering SD-WAN and SASE as a way to address the performance and security of their applications and workforce.
The new Cisco managed SD-WAN service will provide application-aware dynamic routing and integration with existing network transports such as dedicated Internet, MPLS, LTE and 5G. Zero-touch provisioning, integrated security, optimized cloud connectivity and visibility into the network applications performance are all included as part of the offering. All of these capabilities are required by enterprises moving towards a hybrid/multi-cloud environment.
NourNet SD-WAN services include both on-premises and cloud-based SD-WAN deployments with Cisco SD-WAN powered by Viptela and Cisco SD-WAN powered by Meraki options.
Cisco SD-WAN powered by Viptela can operate on Cisco’s routers such as the Cisco Catalyst 8000 Edge Platform family, Integrated Service Routers (ISRs) and Aggregated Service Routers (ASRs). Cisco SD-WAN is also available using Cisco’s Enterprise Network Compute System (ENCS) and can be managed through a single cloud-based dashboard, Cisco’s v-Manage controller.
With Cisco Meraki’s cloud-first platform, NourNet provides customers with a fully comprehensive infrastructure to optimize network operations and visibility. Leveraging Cisco SD-WAN powered by Meraki, NourNet enables customers with the ability to enhance their connectivity and application experiences, while accelerating their digital transformation initiatives.
Furthermore, the new service provides enhanced security features to include an application-aware enterprise firewall, intrusion prevention, URL filtering and advanced malware protection. This wide range of supported CPE’s along with the on-premises and cloud-based offerings, were key factors in launching the SD-WAN managed service with Cisco.
“For businesses to achieve a successful digital transformation, they need to have optimized cloud connectivity, visibility into their networks, and robust security. Today, we are honored to work very closely with Cisco to help businesses transform successfully by bringing together connectivity optimization, network visibility and security through Cisco SD-WAN powered by Viptela and Cisco SD-WAN powered by Meraki, thus, empowering our clients with seamless network expansion and scalability without compromising security,” said Amjad A. Hafez, NourNet CEO.
Today, NourNet clients across all sectors and verticals are now able to run SD-WAN over connectivity services, including dedicated Internet, all provided by NourNet.
