NourNet’s Dammam Data Center Achieves ANSI/TIA-942-C Rated-3 Certification!

We at NourNet proudly announce that our Dammam AlShatea Data Center has officially achieved the ANSI/TIA-942-C:2024 Rated-3 Certification, a globally recognized standard that validates the design, construction, and operational integrity of data center infrastructure. This milestone highlights NourNet’s continuous commitment to building secure, compliant, and highly available environments that empower organizations across the Kingdom to scale with confidence and reliability.

Redefining Data Center Excellence

The ANSI/TIA-942-C is among the most comprehensive data center standards worldwide, establishing strict criteria for physical and technical infrastructure. The certification evaluates four essential domains Architecture, Telecommunications, Electrical, and Mechanical systems to ensure that each component meets global benchmarks for performance, reliability, and safety.

Achieving the Rated-3 level signifies that NourNet’s Dammam AlShatea Data Center is designed for concurrent maintainability, allowing critical systems such as power, cooling, and network paths to be maintained or replaced without impacting live operations. This capability is vital for organizations that depend on uninterrupted connectivity and business continuity, making NourNet a trusted backbone for mission-critical workloads.

NourNet’s Strategic Data Center Expansion

As part of NourNet’s mission to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure footprint, the Dammam AlShatea Data Center was established as a strategic hub to serve the Eastern Region and enhance national data resiliency.

The facility extends NourNet’s data center network beyond Riyadh, enabling geographic redundancy, business continuity, and low-latency connectivity for enterprises operating across the Kingdom.

Launched in April 2025, the Dammam site was designed to support mission-critical workloads, ensuring that customers in key industries including energy, petrochemicals, and finance — benefit from secure, compliant, and locally hosted infrastructure that meets both Saudi and international standards.

Inside NourNet’s Dammam Data Center

Located at AlShatea Business Tower in Dammam, the facility spans 210 m², accommodating up to 100 racks with an IT load capacity of 200kW (expandable to 300kW). Built in compliance with ANSI/TIA-942 Rated-3 standards, the data center ensures concurrent maintainability and full operational uptime.

It features a double-redundant N+N design across power and cooling systems to minimize downtime risk, while the building’s blast-resistant and weather-hardened structure provides robust physical protection.

Key highlights include:

  • Compliance with PCI-DSS and ISO 27001 physical security standards.
  • Multi-layered access with four secure zones for controlled entry to critical areas.
  • Dual communication routes and redundant power paths ensuring uninterrupted availability.
  • Backup generators capable of operating for over 24 hours during power outages, supported by on-site diesel storage.
  • A 24/7 on-site trained operations team managing both planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure continuous service delivery.

With its advanced architecture, mechanical and electrical redundancy, and high operational transparency, the Dammam Data Center maximizes critical environment availability, supporting mission-critical workloads with exceptional reliability and scalability.

Designed for High Availability and Compliance

In a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem, uptime, scalability, and compliance have become non-negotiable. NourNet’s certified data center delivers on all three fronts through redundant power feeds, advanced cooling efficiency, and multi-path connectivity all verified through rigorous third-party audits.

The certification not only validates the center’s adherence to global engineering standards but also demonstrates compliance with local regulatory frameworks, ensuring that hosted data remains protected under Saudi data residency requirements.

By aligning global standards with national data policies, NourNet provides a unique advantage for businesses seeking digital sovereignty without compromising on performance or security.

Supporting Enterprise Growth and Digital Sovereignty

Enterprises today require infrastructure that adapts as quickly as their ambitions. The Rated-3 certification ensures that NourNet’s clients benefit from redundant, fault-tolerant systems, designed to handle maintenance or unexpected disruptions with zero downtime.

This level of resilience strengthens trust in NourNet’s ability to host critical applications for sectors such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and government, where operational continuity and compliance are key.
